Remortgage

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to stay with the original mortgage deal you signed when you moved into your home

Often, it can be sensible to consider switching to a new product, taking advantage of new rates along the way.  You could reduce your monthly outgoings as a result, or even clear some debts.

We understand that remortgaging is a big financial decision, which is why we’re very happy to act as your experienced ‘sounding board’, first and foremost.

Our friendly team of qualified advisors are very well placed to assess your personal circumstances, before providing you with clear, relevant advice.  Where appropriate, we’ll get searching the whole of the market for the most appropriate remortgage deals to discuss with you.

Think carefully before securing debt against your home, your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

Frequently asked questions

Will a remortgage always give me a better rate than the one I’m on currently?

Often but not always. Your rate will depend on factors like the value of your property, how much is left on your existing mortgage, any debt you have and how much you are earning. Our mortgage specialists will be able to give you a clearer indication based on your specific circumstances to ensure we explore all options in getting you the lowest cost mortgage.

What happens if I want to move before the end of my mortgage term?

We will be on hand to advise you on the best way to finance your move. We will take all of your circumstances into account including reviewing your current mortgage and recommending the best way forward. Naturally, we want to ensure your move goes through as smoothly as possible and at the lowest possible cost whilst meeting all your mortgage needs.

Would I always need to switch provider to get a better deal?

Not necessarily. When reviewing your mortgage prior to the time when your current mortgage is due to expire, we will always consider products offered by your existing lender and comparing these against the rest of the market. That way we can advise you as to the most effective way to proceed and ensuring you will be in receipt of the most appropriate mortgage at the lowest cost. Whether it is recommended to stay with your existing lender or switch to a new lender, either way we will be there to support and implement the new product for you.
